First day in our new/old cottage with potential. So many changes needed here and we know exactly where we want to start. Apart from the incredible filth, and I mean unbelievable decades of filth, the 80's pizza hut wall just has to go, so with any available implements we started smashing things down. Very satisfying!

All hands on deck to remove this hideous brick wall and the shelving beside it. Believe it or not, the firewood bays were three rows of bricks deep, solidly laid on top of the 160 year old original timber floors. They sure knew how to lay bricks well in the 80's.

Carl removed ½ bucket of cup-hooks, nails and screws from the walls. Wow! As you will notice the wiring is rather incredible and will certainly need replacing. Any cheap and willing sparky's out there — please feel free to be part of this wonderful project!
I note that the mice have had to surrender their kitchen, and no doubt have been made homeless by this intrusion into their space, let alone the rat and roach families!!
