NOW THE STREETSCAPE

Really hope you all remember how the front of the house once looked — actually you couldn't see it at all from the street. This link is a reminder: https://piccolorose.wixsite.com/nest/post/potential-potential-potential Already dramatic changes have taken place over the last year, but now some amazing results and we are very happy. As you will see being a Reno queen is not too glamorous.

All systems go here...

Each of the verandah posts required quite a bit of TLC as they had some rot appearing at the base

The two front windows — Oh dear!!! More on those in the next Blog post.... And of course where else would you put the meter box and a more recent solar unit, but right on the front of the house in prime real estate. Shame! Shame! Shame!

A new piece of timber to cover lots of gaping holes at the ends of the boards where they were suppose to meet the corner post. Filled all the gaps first of course, so it is all nicely vermin proof


Sooooo......how exciting is that!!! What a transformation even though the windows are still shabby

Still got the eaves and fascia to paint, but still looking soooo much better. Even the maroon door looks better even though it will also have a facelift soon.


I apologise up front for all the photos of the streetscape of 'Fiddle Leaf Cottage' — I just couldn't stop taking pics she looks so cute. No....I don't apologise at all, it's our rich reward for effort.

Now just look at the difference here now the fascia and guttering have been painted. Wow!!!

Loving every angle, even the 161 year old posts now look amazing with their gnarled grooves still peeking through their newness.

I bet your neighbours just love what you have done to this place. In a previous life Les was a glazier---he worked with my brother on his 100 something year old windows to restore them---what a job!!! It takes an amazing amount of work for your windows to be totally fixed. Huge cheers on your behalf.
