NOTHING CONVENTIONAL HERE

Some of you may struggle with our unconventional approach to gaining access to our 680sq metre block. It even has a laneway at the rear for access. However because of the overgrown unkept foliage and mountainous rubbish we are unable to get even a vehicle in, let alone a 10' caravan! So with limited access to tools or equipment — here we go!

These posts are so deep into the ground, it's unbelievable! Well, maybe not! These old pioneers knew how to do things to last - they were the original 'diggers'! The boys finally got it loose and Carl lifted it out and it was incredibly heavy.

While the boys were struggling with the challenge of removing the fencepost, I had started on the process of trying to make the bathroom useable. A pre-Reno Reno if you like! It was so disgusting in every way. Filthy, old, tired, dark, shabby and every other word you can think of. Even though we plan to demolish the existing bathroom in the new floor plan — however that won't happen just yet, so we need to make is more acceptable.

There was a strange half dividing wall in the middle of the bathroom and toilet/laundry which I wanted removed to let some light into the room. It was serving no purpose whatsoever. So it was the first thing to go.

As we took the panelling off we were greeted with copious amounts of cockroach excrement. Yuk!!
