Through an amazing set of circumstances the opportunity albeit daunting, has come our way to consider this tiny little heritage-listed miners cottage. Ours to reclaim, renovate and LOVE. And it's just around the corner from our daughter, how nice is that? Here goes...!!!
After several visits to see this little cottage, we decided to pursue this little gem. Lots of questions to the present owner and lots of questions in our own souls - whether we had the energy to make this happen. Creativity never leaves us and indeed feel more creative than ever, but the flesh is not as willing these days with old age taking its toll.
Not sure who was the most daunted, the owner packing up all this stuff or us cleaning up the mess after she leaves. Masses of cleaning to do, especially after a couple of big dogs and cats living inside for the past 20 years. We do like the floorboards and would love to know what timber they are.
690 square metre block — full of junk, mess, random plantings and overgrown foliage and laced with dog tracks.

It looks like a challenge, but with some work and your collective imaginations, I'm sure the results will be incredible. We are looking forward to seeing progress pics. We wish we could help with the timber floor boards, they certainly look to be in good condition. Are there many restrictions with the Heritage Listing?
