Over the next week, there seemed to be quite a bit of progress with the two side walls being now lined and being put into position permanently. It is probably worth mentioning that the frame had been put into place and then removed quite a few times and adjustments made to achieve the optimum result before it was positioned permanently.
As you will notice the sheet vinyl flooring was permanently secured with aluminium angle before the sides of the van were secured. And of course then covered with heavy duty cardboard for the remainder of the Reno.
On the strip of aluminium frame remains the original texta which has withstood 50 years.
The porthole area was strengthened with extra frame and a sheet of aluminium as well. The hole for the water filler was also in place.
The lower front panel of lining was also attached, curving from the floor up to what will eventually be the bench. Glued and clamped, so is very secure.
It was certainly beginning to look like a little caravan now! Yay!
