THE PRESSURE WAS ON...

Updated: Aug 3, 2019

Six months earlier we had committed to spend a week with our married children and their families holidaying together over Easter at Stuarts Point as we were sure we would be finished the Reno by then. But like all deadlines, they zoom up rather rapidly near the finish line.

It was now Thursday afternoon before Easter, and of course a public holiday the next day and we still didn't have Piccolo Rose fully finished or registered. So the pressure was certainly impacting on us greatly.

A few last minute bits and pieces happened early that morning but some of the jobs we had to leave until later. We would certainly not have time to fit the air-conditioner. No drawers, no cupboards doors, no gas connected and no water connected. Looks like it may be an interesting holiday.

At last… Piccolo Rose was hooked on to our car for the very first time. How exciting! After all our hard work, this moment felt amazing! And I really wanted to drive my baby for her first time out of the shed. As Carl and Chris (the spray painter) stood watching with pride filling their chests, off I went. Oh dear, the poor guys!!! The pride was replaced with disbelief and fear as I swept Piccolo Rose too close to some trees. Their hearts were in their chests and I was oblivious to their look of horror and oblivious to the trees. My heart was soaring!

Anyway all was well and nothing was damaged, except their nervous systems.
