TIME STANDS STILL

This stage of the Reno seemed to take forever and as a result there are not many photos of the changes as they were so incredibly slow. Each time I walked into the shed to check on progress, it seemed as though there were very little changes, however things were happening, they just weren’t glaringly obvious.

There was a good 6 weeks where heaps of detail went into the existing aluminium frame. Replacing sections that had deteriorated along the bottom rail where it had been affected by dissimilar metals, framing up areas that would accommodate new bits, new door frame as the original door was too small so we purchased a second hand door. Time spent reinforcing parts of the frame to support things like bench-top, bed and air-conditioner etc.

It was during this stage, I continued restoring the window frames but began to doubt that the Reno would ever be complete.

I spent many hours researching products and sourcing them, mostly online with some notable suppliers.

Some of the many purchases all ready and waiting. Dometic double gas cooktop, sink, Porta Potti, Dometic Air-conditioner, light fittings, tap fitting, microwave, storage baskets, power points and more...
