UNFINISHED BUSINESS

Updated: Aug 1, 2019

The next job we needed to make happen was the drawers and cupboard doors. This was something we had spent a lot of time thinking about and researching endless options in the attempt to keep them light, durable and of course attractive. We had been given lots of cost effective solutions but they were not aesthetically pleasing to us.

We chose to use a product that is widely used on marine craft because of its lightness, durability and moisture resistance — PROLIGHT FOAM CORE LIGHTWEIGHT BOARD 2440 X 1220 X 16MM, which we sourced from: www.nover.com.au/prolight-foam-core-lightweight-board-2440-x-1220-x-267310

The doors and drawers took us a few weeks to finish, but at least we had made a start on them.

We also fitted a 12 volt CTek unit, which we had researched and found it to be excellent and certainly the best value for money.

Another important job was to get the water hooked up to the van, so that process began as well.

The brand new 60 litre water tank was also fitted. We bought a bigger one first, but when it came time to fit it, there was absolutely nowhere underneath that it could go. If it was further forward it would have fouled up the braking system and towards the back would be too much weight, so we returned it and settled for the same size as the original tank.
