LONGING FOR COMFORT

It's going to be some time before we are fully set up in our new/old cottage and there is only so long you can cope to sit on camp chairs at the end of a busy day. So we braved to open the shipping container to find some of our goodies. We didn't want to unpack too much out of the container as there is just nowhere to put it in the tiny Reno site.

We did manage to find two of our leather chairs and a couple of other bits and pieces to make our life more comfortable.

The above pic was taken from the front door and you will notice that someone at some stage over the the life of this cottage, decided to drive a chainsaw through the floorboards! Why, you may well ask! And if we knew we would tell you. Not sure how we're going to fix that when the time comes, but I am sure we will come up with some solution. Let's know if you have one won't you?

We have not done any Reno bits in the lounge area, just made it a little more comfy to be in.

A few extra details happening in the bedroom. Some shelves to store clothes for the time being

Suggestion for the flooring. If you have skills, or know someone who does, you might be able to pull up a bunch of the floor boards and reposition them so the chainsaw gash is staggered. That way the gaps would be in different places that could be more easily filled without being too obvious. OR just embrace the character, patch it up obviously, and know it has a story :)
